“ Sooooooo good! What a crepe should taste like. Been going here since forever, glad it still exists! Crepe is nice and crunchy, big hefty size, definitely shareable. A dessert worth stopping for. It's also a cute little shop with snacks and little knick knacks. But the crepes are what keeps bringing me back. ”
“ We've been here a bunch of times but we more recently brought our kid. She enjoyed fruit crepe (with no ice cream- dairy allergy), and she enjoyed it very much! The store is always fun to walk around. Service was quick and fine. Ambiance is chill. Nice location on Clement, not too far from weekend farmers market. ”
“ Still love coming here decades later!!! There's almost always a line for their crepes and egg puffs and you get to cruise their store while you wait. if you ask me, its the definition of perfect, but ofc i'm bias ;) the employees are always so sweet and there's a variety of crepes to choose from for a really affordable price. they have savory and sweet options, even drinks if you'd like. literally can't get enough of them and hope they stay in business for a long time!! ”
“ Genki is my go-to for a sweet treat on those random post-dinner cravings in the Richmond. It's a reliable spot that greets you with an easy-to-read menu and drool-worthy photos as soon as you walk in. Late-night dessert? This is probably one of the first places that comes to mind around here. They've got both savory and sweet options, but for me, it's always the sweet route. You can customize your crepe with Nutella, fresh fruit, whipped cream, and even a scoop of ice cream. The crepes hit the perfect balance--crispy on the edges and delightfully chewy in the middle. While waiting for your made-to-order crepe (it's worth the wait), you can browse their little market stocked with fun Asian snacks and knickknacks. Heads up: this is more of a grab-and-go spot since there aren't any tables inside. Pro tip: Parking is easier if you're here late at night, but it's usually a bit of a challenge in this area. ”
“ Genki Crepes and Mini Mart is an absolute must-visit spot! We stopped by after 8 PM, and it was bustling and for good reason. The crepes here are insanely good. They offer both savory and sweet options, which is always a plus. My usual go-to is anything with red bean paste, but today, I decided to switch it up and tried the cheesecake with light whipped cream and blueberries. Wow, it was phenomenal! The crepe had the perfect balance of crispiness and softness, paired with that delicate sweetness that keeps you wanting bite after bite. I had already filled up on dinner at M Pot nearby, yet I could easily see myself finishing two of these if I wasn't sharing. The ordering process was smooth and efficient--you order at the counter, get a number, and pick it up when called. Even with the place packed, the wait was impressively short. While waiting, I browsed the mini mart and discovered a treasure trove of cool snacks, ramen, and Hello Kitty merchandise. It's a paradise for Hello Kitty themed snack enthusiasts. My only small suggestion would be to add more lighting outside and perhaps some benches or seating for patrons to hang out. Many people were using this spot as a post-dinner meetup to relax and enjoy their crepes, which speaks volumes about the inviting atmosphere. Street parking can be a bit tricky, but trust me, it's worth the effort. Don't miss out on this gem of a place! ”
“ Recently visited this place again, quality hasn't changed since I've visited a while back. Crepes are delicious, and they give a good amount of Toppings. They recently added a touch ordering system which makes it easier if you like to make choices on your own. Still recommend this place. ”
“ Genki Crepes is my favorite quick dessert in San Francisco! As a dessert enthusiast, I genuinely think that their crepes are some of the best I've ever tasted. They're crispy AND chewy, which for some reason seems difficult to achieve at most places. My personal favorite is the crepe with chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, topped with fresh whipped cream. It's a delightful combination of flavors and textures that never fails to satisfy my sweet tooth. The crepes are made fresh to order, and you can watch as they carefully create your dessert right in front of you. The staff is friendly and efficient, making for a pleasant experience every time. Something about watching them make it fresh is comforting along with the smell of fresh crepe. The shop itself is actually a mini mart like it mentions in the name. They sell snacks, bottled drinks, small amount of grocery, household, and beauty products. It can feel pretty tight inside if it's crowded. However, one downside is the parking situation. It's only street parking, which can be quite challenging in this busy area. Be prepared to circle around a bit before finding a spot. Overall, if you're in the mood for a delicious and indulgent treat, Genki Crepes is definitely worth a visit. Just plan ahead for the parking situation, and you'll have a fantastic time! ”
“ MY ALL TIME FAVORITE CREPE PLACE!!! i love their crepes so much because they are a bit crispy, as opposed to other crepe places that are just soft. kind of reminds me of a thin fortune cookie if you like getting those from the fortune cookie factory down in chinatown. anyways, i've been thinking about this place FOR YEARS. AT LEAST 2 and now i finally got a chance to visit san francisco for the weekend, so OF COURSE i had to stop by genki crepes, even though it was out of the way from everywhere else we were visiting. but, love has no limits and i would travel far and wide for food. so this quaint little shop is actually also a mini grocery store and at the front, next to the register, is where all the magic happens and they make their amazing crepes. it's located on a cute street with a bunch of other shops and restaurants, so it's also really nice to walk around. one of the nicer neighborhoods in the area, i would say!! while walking down the street, i got a whiff of the iconic crepes and i knew i was close... after walking for almost 2 miles, excited is to say the least LOL there was no line when we got there around 3pm but there were 2-3 people who were waiting for their crepes. there is also a bench against the wall where you can sit and wait for or eat your crepes. and three additional benches outside. ordering is super simple and they have a wide variety, which includes both savory and sweet options. my boyfriend and i decided to order a sweet crepe with nutella and mixed fruits. it cost about $9 which is pretty solid given the size and amount of toppings they put. the mixed fruit crepe came with strawberries, diced mangos, and banana slices, and it was delicious!! the crepe was a tad bit crispy near the top and nice and soft towards the center/bottom. the fruits were all fresh and top notch quality, maybe not the sweetest but still quite tasty and it honestly offsets the sweetness of the nutella perfectly. the crepes are made fresh to order and you can even watch them cook/put them together. they didn't take that long to come out either, and they provide utensils and napkins, which you will need because it can get messy haha. overall 10/10, would return any time im in the area!! ”
“ What Genki has on other crepe shops like Sophie's crepes is mainly the fact that this place opens so late in comparison. A late night run to here is always a fun time. Genki Crepes has been a big part of my childhood and a core memory so it is always nice revisiting Genki every now and then. Nowadays you can also order on a kiosk which is more convenient. I ordered the Cookie Cream Ice Cream Crepe with Custard+Whip ($8.50). Which is just filled with cookies and cream goodness and a whole lot of whipped cream. I definitely think it would be improved with additions of fruit for extra charge, but it was still good. I will say I don't love the crepe itself as much as some other spots just because here it is very crispy which means crumbs get all over you and the floor. That's just personal preference though. There is also a nice selection of goods in the mart too. They have some asian snacks that I don't even get to see at my local 99 Ranch. It's worth checking out and there is usually a crowd at Genki. Business is booming as usual. ”
“ A San Franciscan treasure! My favorite savory crepe is the beef sukiyaki and my favorite sweet crepe is the blueberry cheesecake. Whether it is lunch time, snack time, dessert time, or even dinner time, Genki is the perfect choice. ”
